Who can participate?
Adult singles (ages 21+) who are interested in (and well suited for) this reflective, edifying, and emotionally charged work--even if you are not currently dating or actively seeking to date. Each participant will undergo an assessment process within the first session to see if Singles Counseling or Coaching is the right fit for them at this time. Singles Counseling and Singles Coaching are not substitutes for traditional clinical mental health treatment.
Is there an age limit?
Younger adults (ages 18-20) may inquire about treatment by way of an initial consultation process. Adults-as-old-as-you-come are welcome to explore if Singles Counseling might be helpful for you. Please contact if you have more questions about age-related items.
Do I need to be "serious" about dating to participate?
EFT for Singles can benefit casual daters as much as those who are seriously looking for partnership, but any participant needs to be serious about doing the introspective work required for this therapeutic process.
I'm in an open relationship; could this treatment help me?
Those in ENM relationships would likely benefit more from Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy with your primary partner(s). If you would like referrals, please don't be hesitate to ask.
I already have a therapist, can I do both treatments?
With its time-limited and targeted approach, EFT for Singles can be used in tandem with your own individual therapy. Please check with your current therapist to inquire their perspective and to acquire their support. Singles Counseling and Singles Coaching are not substitutes for traditional clinical mental health treatment.
How long does the process take?
5-10 sessions is standard for this course of treatment. Additional sessions may be requested if interested and fewer sessions may be suitable for some.
Where do we meet?
EFT for Singles is available via telehealth & online appointments only; in-person session are not available at this time.
How much does it cost?
This style of Singles Counseling will cost around the standard amount of your typical counseling sessions. A sliding scale price range between $115-$250 is available (fees determined by household income, number of dependents, as well as the length and type of session).
Do you accept insurance?
Insurance can only be accepted from Indiana state residents covered by Anthem/BCBS and its affiliates. Fees and Coinsurance are based on your individual plan.
Do you work with people in different languages?
Regrettably, sessions are only held in English.
Is this treatment available everywhere?
Potentially! Residents physically located in the US states of Indiana & Washington are available to start treatment at anytime. If you live anywhere else in the country or the world, please inquire if pursuing treatment through state/country LMHC licensure reciprocity is possible, or if a non-counseling coaching-based approach is available through Singles Coaching.
Can I do Singles Coaching instead of Singles Counseling?
Since Singles Counseling incorporates all the elements of Singles Coaching and more, Singles Coaching is only available for individuals unable to participate in Singles Counseling due to state mental health counselor licensure regulations. Please contact if you have questions about possible regulations based on your place of residence.
Are there groups, courses, or webinars to participate in instead?
Groups, workshops, etc., are not available at this time, but will hopefully be available in the future. Please inquire about being placed on a waitlist if you are interested in future participation.
Are you a dating service?
No. Singles Counseling, Singles Coaching, and EFT for Singles are not in the business of Match Making. It may give you new tools and insights about yourself, your dating life, and how you go about choosing those you date, but finding those to date are better left to you.
Will Singles Counseling really make my dating life better?
That is the hope! Unfortunately, like any form of therapy, EFT for Singles cannot promise to cure all your dating troubles, heal all relationship wounds, make it possible for you to fall in love, or make it any easier to find sensible matches for yourself. But through your willingness to put forth the emotional effort, your openness to being introspective, and your dedication to practicing vulnerability, this style of treatment may be able to help you find more joy and meaning in your dating relationships and, most importantly, help you feel more peace and confidence in yourself (as a single person and overall human being).
Still not sure if Singles Counseling is for you?
Please reach out, if you have more questions! A brief phone consultation and/or email correspondence can be conducted for those with further queries. Due to the short-term nature of this style of therapy, you can also get a better idea of how this treatment might suit you within just one or two sessions.
