The "Dating Dance"
The late and great Dr. Sue Johnson, founder of Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), often referred to relationships as a dance.
If we look at relationships as a dance, we can look at dating as exploring different dance partners.

This “dating dance” is an exploration, indeed!
It's a time of practicing your "dance moves" while tuning into the "dance steps" of others. It's a process of discovering the kind of "dance" partner you are, what kind of "dance" partner you want to be, what kind of "dance" partners work well with you, and also note what happens with those you might not work so well with. It is a way of refining what kind of "dance" you actually want to be "dancing" and how to acknowledge and respect the different "dance styles" of others.
Singles Counseling:
Your Metaphorical "Dance Instructor"
EFT for Singles can help you navigate the proverbial “dance floor” and "emotional music” of your dating life,
i.e. how you connect with others (and to yourself) and
what might inhibit those connections.

Therapeutically Speaking...
On a basic level, we will work collaboratively to help you refine what it is you wish to give and receive in your dating relationships, and how you may better communicate these wants, needs, and offerings.
On a deeper level, we will explore what patterns you find yourself in while dating and in romantic relationships, and see what can be done to change the patterns that no longer serve you
or those you date.
